iGrip studs are designed to improve tire traction on heavy equipment, including wheel loaders, articulated dump trucks, off-highway trucks, and motor graders. Several models are available depending on tire type, tread height, and working conditions. The studs can be installed using various iGrip fastening systems, including single, double, and triple stud plates.
STUD INSTALLATION
1. Measure the tread height and count the number of tread lugs on one side of the tire, then multiply by two to determine the total number.
2. Allow approximately 2 to 4 studs per tread lug, depending on the tire type and installation pattern selected. For example, for a tire with 36 tread lugs in total, plan for approximately 150 to 250 studs per tire, depending on the layout. Alternate stud positions to promote even traction and improved stability.
